Importing flour improvers from Morocco to Nigeria: Incoterms, documents and first container

Buying a flour improver or a flour corrector from a Moroccan manufacturer follows a simple logic, provided three points are settled from the start: the Incoterm, the documents and the logistics.

**Incoterms.** FinaAfric works on EXW or FOB Casablanca: the importer organises the sea freight. CIF Lagos is available on request, in which case FinaAfric delivers to the port of destination. The shipment goes by sea from Casablanca to Lagos (Apapa).

**Documents supplied.** Each shipment travels with the commercial paperwork and: Halal documentation for export, the certificate of origin, analysis reports and technical data sheets per batch, the ONSSA sanitary approval attestation, and a safety data sheet (SDS) if required. Registrations and permits on the Nigerian side depend on the requirements in force: confirm them with your customs broker before ordering.

**Quantities.** Any quantity, from groupage to pallet or full container. Improvers and correctors are compact and store well, so a 20-foot container covers several months of consumption for a mid-sized mill. Thanks to a permanent stock in Casablanca, lead times stay short.

**The four steps.**

1. First contact: you describe your country, your lines and target volumes. 2. Samples and terms: samples, technical sheets and payment terms. 3. First test container: an initial order, with technical support from our engineers for your teams. 4. Regular supply: a supply agreement and repeat orders with a dedicated contact at FinaAfric.

**Technical support.** Beyond the product, FinaAfric follows flour quality, advises on wheat purchasing and helps solve process and quality issues. Support is remote, and on site when useful.
